About me

Welcome! I am a senior researcher at the I. Physical Institute of the Cologne University. I am member of the KOSMA workgroup led by Prof. Stutzki. I specialize on the physics and chemistry of the interstellar medium and how it links to star and planet formation. I perform theoretical and experimental studies (observations and numerical experiments) with a variety of modern instruments: CCAT-prime/FYST, JWST, SOFIA, IRAM (30m & NOEMA), Herschel Space Observatory, APEX and NANTEN2. I am also the head developer of the numerical PDR code KOSMA-tau, where PDR is short for Photon-Dominated Regions.
